FISH MEAL

Fish meal is recognized as a valuable animal protein supplement and a source of vitamins, minerals and unknown growth factors. Fish meals are added to the diet as high quality supplements to obtain efficient diets, particularly for aquaculture & animal feed.

The fish meal removes the moisture which in turn increases the concentration of proteins available for the growth. The meal is also rich in B- group Vitamin namely - Riboflavin, Pantothenic acid, Niacin and Choline. The powdered fish meal is rich in minerals like Calcium, Phosphorus, Iodine etc.

Fish meal contains other growth promoting and protein utilization factors that are found to be easily digestible for the poultry and aqua animals. The protein efficiency ratio (PER) has been worked out to find the growth studies in animals and farm grown animals.

Unlike other vegetable proteins meals, fish meal contains very less fibre content which is useful in getting the food easily digested and also for the energy calculation.
